ANVIA was founded in 1933 as the Algemeene Nederlandsche Verlichtings-Industrie Almelo and became a leading name in Dutch lighting design during the 1950s and 60s, with iconic modernist designs by Jan Hoogervorst, such as the Paperclip wall lamp, counterbalance lamps, and legendary reading lights.
Revived in 2014 by Michel Klein, ANVIA carries on this legacy with a clear goal: to preserve iconic design and adapt it to a contemporary context.
Today, ANVIA brings together three distinctive Dutch lighting worlds: the timeless classics of ANVIA, the technically refined minimalism of FERROLIGHT and the sculptural, graphic character of JAPTH.
