ANVIA was founded in 1933 as the Algemeene Nederlandsche Verlichtings-Industrie Almelo and became a defining name in Dutch lighting design during the 1950s and 60s, with iconic modernist designs by Jan Hoogervorst such as the Paperclip wall lamp, counter balance lamps and legendary reading lights.
Revived in 2014 by Michel Klein, ANVIA continues this heritage with a clear ambition: to preserve iconic design and bring it into a contemporary context.
Today, ANVIA brings together three distinctive Dutch lighting worlds: the timeless classics of ANVIA, the technically refined minimalism of FERROLIGHT and the sculptural, graphic character of JAPTH.
